The American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) is the world’s largest organization dedicated to sports medicine and exercise science, including research, education, and practical application. ACSM advocates for healthy lifestyles that include the dual elements of physical activity and proper nutrition. The organization also produces scientific research and Position Stands relating to nutrition and healthy eating. ACFN intends to promote MyPyramid through the development of an energy balance curriculum as part of the Healthy Schools Partnership, an innovative approach to addressing childhood obesity. A registered dietitian will teach children a curriculum including five core topics: MyPyramid, portion sizes, food labels, snack planning and beverage choices. The goal is for students to become agents of change within their families and follow the dietary pattern of the food groups found in MyPyramid. The mission of the American Diabetes Association is to prevent and cure diabetes and to improve the lives of all people affected by the disease. DECA promotes MyPyramid pyramid through in store promotions and education in the 256 commissaries worldwide. The Dewey Does Foundation (DDF) is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization promoting health, fitness, and nutrition to fight childhood obesity. Through the Dewey Does 110% project, DDF will incorporate MyPyramid food group information into health and fitness programs and will provide MyPyramid posters to teachers and parents. Their project “Your New Food Guide Pyramid” is a self guided PowerPoint presentation on their hospital intranet that is available for their 600 employees. It explains the new food pyramid and how it is now personalized. This presentation is also available for customers who are provided wellness plan. Many presentations are done throughout the year for children’s groups and adult groups on the food pyramid an how to use the website. Children participate in MyPyramid relay races, fun food ideas and exercise songs so children can learn the message! Love Your Fruits & Vegetables (LYFVE pronounced Life) is the only “GREEN” caterer for children in the North East.  They conduct cooking classes for children ages 2.5 to 18 years.  Their goal is to help families incorporate more fruits and vegetables into their diets.  All of their theme based classes are designed with an element of fun. Nourish Interactive, a new kid's health website, offers free online interactive nutrition education games to support healthy food choices and prevent childhood obesity. Nourish Interactive is a partner with the USDA bringing the Kids' Food Pyramid to life through Chef Solus and the Food Pyramid Adventure game. Children explore the food pyramid through FUN challenges, activities and mini-games. They learn nutrition and the balance between energy from food and activity. Available in English and Spanish. ‘nPLAY is a not-for-profit foundation developed by Paul Pierce and a core group of professional athletes to mobilize a movement that tackles the epidemic of childhood obesity in America. The goal is to bring about change – in thinking, attitude and lifestyle -  via the influence of the professional sports world and other  innovative, successful leaders. ‘nPLAY will develop nutrition and physical activity messaging including MyPyramid to be delivered by  athletes via video on the ‘nPLAY website, in a viral campaign, and through consumer partners in and out of schools. Our project provides online wellness education and an interactive means for parents and children to plan school meals. The MyTray project allows parents and children to plan meals based on what is actually served at school. A MyPyramid screen compares the amount of food on the tray to individualized nutrition guidance. The MyNutrition project offers nutrition education for parents and children. Along with the launch of the new Orange Julius Light Smoothies, Orange Julius will be launching a mini website called “Fun Facts for a Healthier You.” This mini-site will be dedicated to ways to personalize diet and activity to reach optimal health, including scroll over icons that feature everyday activities and calories burned while doing them, a step-by-step guide on taking heart rate, and fun facts about fruit. Orbiter LLC manufactures the RFID lap counter and chip timer and the VO2 max step box. Through the “Have Fun while Running Laps and Lessons of MyPyramid” project, Orbiter will educate k-12 students on how to run, pace, and gain enjoyment from regular exercise while also teaching MyPyramid lessons. By the end of the program, students will know the food groups and be able to indentify individual foods within each group.
Organ Wise Guys: OWC Inc. is the creator and manager of the evidence-based nutrition and physical activity program called The OrganWise Guys Comprehensive School Program.  OWC will integrate MyPyramid messaging not an evidence-based approach to obesity prevention that is designed to reach students, faculty, school staff, food service and parents in the structure of a replicable model. PE Fit equips teachers with tools to help students embrace a healthy lifestyle through Physical Education curriculum. In the Nutrition & Activity Program, PE Fit will incorporate the MyPyramid.gov website and teach lessons on the importance of making healthy food and activity choices and meeting MyPyramid recommendations. Today peanuts are classified in MyPyramid with meat, fish, poultry, dry beans, eggs and nuts because of their high protein content. However, because peanuts are plant-based, they do NOT contain cholesterol and some of the saturated fat that is found in animal-based sources of protein. In fact, they contain a much higher percentage of the "good" unsaturated fats than saturated fats. The Groovy Pyramid is a music-based program that can help communicators, parents and nutrition educators initiate a dialogue about diet, nutrition, and fitness. The song lyric content is based on MyPyramid and the Dietary Guidelines. Prairie Farms is committed to nutrition education and feel strongly that milk-dairy is part of the solution to maintaining a healthy diet and lifestyle.  They have developed side-panels for their half-pint school milk carton that encourage the consumption of milk, promotes physical activity and suggests drinking low fat milk.

The Real Men Cook Foundation was founded in 1986 by Fred Parrott, MD with the mission to educate the inner city community about prostate cancer and provide scholarships for minority students to attend medical school. They are currently working on the Every Body’s Different project with Sports Illustrated Kids in order to promote MyPyramid and their goals.
Tomatoes when consumed within the context of a healthy diet can help in dealing with major health concerns such as cardiovascular disease, cancer, diabetes, and obesity. The Tomato Products Wellness Council was created to ensure this positive message gets out to consumers. The Council formed to take a unified approach in building demand for and increasing consumption of affordable and nutritious tomato products. They are funding scientific research into the benefits of consuming a diet rich with tomato products. Their current research is focusing on cardiovascular health. The WFC collaboration efforts with MyPyramid Corporate Challenge will include the inclusion of the MyPyramid.gov link on the WFC homepage, as well as promotions of the release of MyPyramid for Moms and the Menu Planner. The Grain Talk Blog, which has an audience of consumers, grain-based trade and media, will also promote MyPyramid extensions. Presentations and flyers will be distributed to WFC members regarding the benefits of MyPyramid. The White House Academy is a leadership empowerment and enrichment center for elementary and middle school students.  Participants are engaged in culinary arts by preparing nutritious, tasty and colorfully inviting dishes; and, parents are given quick, easy and nutritious recipes with cooking demonstrations monthly.  Students will participate in planting and maintaining a vegetable and herb garden for use in cooking classes. They will also develop a simple, nutritious cookbook with recipes that promote good health. Yum Brands plan to incorporate MyPyramid.gov on nutrition brochures and in-store posters. MyPyramid.gov is already referenced on the KFC brochures and in-store posters. The other brands will inlude MyPyramid.gov as new brochures and posters are updated. As the “Keep It Balanced” website is revised, it will have resources from MyPyramid to educate customers on balancing diet and exercise. The website will have links to MyPryamid.gov and will include messaging consistent with Dietary Guidelines for Americans. The YWCA is dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women, and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all. Each local YWCA implements Hallmark Programs, although specific programs vary from one community to another based on the unique needs of each market. The Hallmark Programs have direct impact and create meaningful change with measurable results. The YWCA not only intends to raise awareness of the issues, they intend to affect real change.
